These Terms of Service are a starting point for Pride in Dallas and should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before being relied upon as a formal legal document. We are publishing them openly so our community knows what to expect as we grow.
Welcome to Pride in Dallas. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the rules for using our website at prideindallas.org and related services. By using our site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site — but you’re always welcome to email us with questions.
Who We Are
Pride in Dallas is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Dallas, Texas. You can reach us at hello@prideindallas.org.
Acceptance of These Terms
By visiting our website, signing up for our newsletter, RSVPing for an event, or otherwise interacting with our digital presence, you agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, please review them with a parent or guardian.
Acceptable Use
Pride in Dallas is a community space, and we expect everyone who interacts with us online to treat others with respect. When using our site or any channel we host, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, dox, or intimidate any person — especially members of the LGBTQ+ community.
- Post or submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or discriminatory.
- Use our site or newsletter for spam, phishing, or unauthorized commercial solicitation.
- Attempt to break into, disrupt, or probe our site for vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Impersonate Pride in Dallas or any of its volunteers, organizers, or partners.
We reserve the right to remove content or block users who violate these standards. Seriously disruptive behavior may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Intellectual Property
The “Pride in Dallas” name, logo, wordmark, and original content on this site (writing, graphics, layout) are owned by Pride in Dallas or used with permission. You may not use our name or logo to imply endorsement of a product, service, or political cause without our written consent.
Event photos displayed on the site generally belong to the photographer who captured them and are used with permission. Volunteer contributions — stories, writing, artwork — remain the property of the contributor unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
User-Generated Content
If you submit a community story, comment, testimonial, or other material to us, you confirm that you have the right to share it and you give Pride in Dallas permission to publish it on our website, newsletter, and social channels in connection with our nonprofit mission. You can ask us to take your submission down at any time by emailing hello@prideindallas.org.
We reserve the right to moderate, edit for length and clarity, or decline to publish any submission at our discretion.
Links to Other Sites
Our site links to outside resources — crisis hotlines, community partners, hotels, city services, and more — as a convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Please use your own judgment when visiting them.
Disclaimers
Our website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Pride in Dallas is a volunteer organization doing its best. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security issues, and we make no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of any information published here, including event details, community resources, or external links.

We are a small nonprofit; please do not rely on us as a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Pride in Dallas, its organizers, volunteers, and board members from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of our site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
